Launching at UAP on 18 March
The Daily Star Arts
& Entertainment is launching a brand new programme -- Celebrity Footprints
-- bringing your favourite stars from the entertainment arena of the country to
your educational institute, where you can interact with them in person.
The Daily Star, the most widely circulated English daily newspaper in
Bangladesh, has selected UAP to be first university to host the programme. In the
first installment of the programme, celebrated thespian Mamunur Rashid will
be visiting the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) with the Star Arts
& Entertainment team, on March 18 at
4pm. A short drama will be staged at the programme, followed by the
celebrity guest -- thespian Mamunur Rashid -- interacting with the students. Participating
students at the programme can then write in no more than 300 words, about their
experience of the programme, and how it has enriched them, and send it to culturetds@gmail.com by midnight
of March 20. The best writings will be published on Star Arts &
Entertainment. The Daily Star team will include Syed Badrul Ahsan (Executive
Editor), Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed (Managing Editor), Shahnoor Wahid (Special
Supplements Editor) and Sadya Afreen Mallick (Editor, Arts &
Entertainment). The Vice Chancellor of UAP Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury
will also be present to welcome the team.
Students of UAP are
invited to attend the event at the Auditorium of the Department of Pharmacy and
be seated by 3:30 PM.
